Hi! My name is Amber

I'm running for Woodinville City Council because I love this community and believe in building a future that works for all of us. From safe, walkable streets and beautiful green spaces to thoughtful growth and affordable housing. I want to make sure Woodinville remains a place we're all proud to call home.

About Amber

Let's Wise Up Woodinville!

I have been proud to call home since 2020. My husband and I are raising our two kids here, and we're fortunate enough to share a home with my in-laws making ours a lively, 3 generation household. This daily connection to family reminds me how important it is to keep Woodinville a place where people of all ages can thrive.

I serve on Woodinville's Public Space Commission and work as a union organizer, where my career has been focused on uplifting the voices of working people in local government and beyond. From helping people learn how to speak up for themselves in government, to listening and learning about how our city can improve, I know how to bring people together to solve problems and get things done.

Our city has some truly incredible opportunities ahead! I'm excited to work on projects that will increase access to parks and trails and shape a walkable, green downtown that reflects Woodinville's unique character. There's a lot of potential to ensure that Woodinville is a place where families can thrive, small businesses can grow, and everyone feels connected and included.

I'm running for City Council because I love this community and believe in its future. I'll bring thoughtful, inclusive leadership to the role and work every day to keep Woodinville a place we're all proud to call home.

Priorities

Affordable Housing

Woodinville is a beautiful place to live, but many are finding life in Woodinville to be out of reach. By concentrating housing options in our downtown, supporting diverse options for housing, and encouraging affordability in every development, we can keep Woodinville welcoming to families, seniors, and workers alike. Thoughtful growth will help us ensure that we're preserving what makes our city special, while ensuring that people who make Woodinville vibrant can stay, put down roots and thrive.

Transportation & Access

As our region grows, access and mobility will define how connected Woodinville feels. I support investments in public transit, walkable neighborhoods, and bike friendly infrastructure that make it easier for residents to move around without being dependent on cars alone. Strong transportation systems mean less traffic, cleaner air, and more opportunity for families, workers, and businesses alike. With thoughtful planning, we can ensure that Woodinville is a hub of connection, not congestion.

Parks, Trails, & Green Spaces

Our parks and trails are one of the many things that make Woodinville so special. They're where families gather, kids play, and neighbors connect. I want to ensure we continue to expand access to outdoor spaces, keep them safe and well-maintained, and ensure every neighborhood has nearby access to nature. Projects like the Eastrail trail highlight the exciting potential of linking communities together through green spaces. By investing in parks and trails, we're investing in community health, recreation, and the beauty that makes Woodinville feel like home.

Public Safety

Public safety is more than just enforcing laws. It's about making sure that people are able to walk, bike and drive without fear and ensuring that when our neighbors call in times of need, they receive timely, compassionate care. As traffic through Woodinville increases, we must plan ahead with safer sidewalks, better bike lanes, and traffic calming solutions that protect our community. Safety also means supporting our first responders and ensuring they have the resources and training to continue to serve our community with care and respect. I believe that we can ensure our city is one where everyone feels secure, supported, and connected.
